Our global leading client based in Basingstoke recruit for an Insurance Risk Analyst to join their professional team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Operational Risk and Reporting the purpose of the position is to support the Risk Function by contributing to the design, development and maintenance of the Risk Management System across the Operational, Investment and Insurance risk disciplines, with a primary focus on Insurance Risk

General profile:

Providing analysis of the risk profiles for all areas within the RMS.

Monitoring and reporting risk exposures against risk appetite

Supporting the continued operation of risk management in respect of the requirements of Solvency II

Supporting the Insurance Risk Manager in the:

Maintenance of Pillar 2 (ORSA) methodology and assumptions

Summarising and completing a thorough analysis of ORSA results

Supporting the production of the ORSA report and related documentation

Supporting the provision of oversight, relevant evidence and challenge of the business’ risk and capital management processes including Standard Formula, ORSA, risk appetite and stress and scenario testing

Producing timely, accurate and complete Risk Management Information and reports including those required for Corporate office

Assisting in the Preparation and analysis of Line two Deep Dives across the full RMS universe

Have Line two ownership of the Operational risk capital calculation engine and use this in the production of the relevant capital calculations for ORSA

Provide ongoing support for the Line two monitoring programme over Models and End User Computing, and to provide support to Line two in respect of Model and Spreadsheet development

Job related requirements, qualifications, skills:

Broad understanding of Insurance Risk Fundamentals and capital implications

Able to consider both quantitative and qualitative perspectives in analysis and solutions

Capable of both running models and analysing the results to establish drivers of change

Solution orientated

Enquiring mind, desire to challenge if something doesn’t look right
